Article 2: Hopes rise that whales in Florida stranding may have swum out to sea

A pod of short-finned pilot whales were stranded in the Florida Everglades since Tuesday, Dec. 3. Officials went in search of the pod on Saturday and they could not be located, therefore they are hopeful they swam back to deeper waters, although they cannot be certain. Ten have already died, four of the ten being euthanized. This species of whales are the most common to be found in mass strandings, although hopefully the rest made their way back to the deeper water.
